Networked Participation

This is the online network for the LGIU Youth Participation and Social Network Sites action learning set. The action learning set met physically every month during the first half of 2009 to explore how social networking can play a part in empowering young people and engaging young people in local government and democracy. The final report of the Action Learning Set, presented as a practical guide for others, is available for £10 here.

We have opened this network to welcome input from all practitioners interested in the use of social media for youth engagement and participation.

What have you been up to recently in the use of social media for youth engagement, or in wider contexts in your local authority? What have you got planned for 2010?
